August 29, 2013

The FAA says American Eagle Flight 3009 from Champaign, Ill. (CMI) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) stopped on the taxiway prior to departure because of smoke in the cockpit about 8:30 a.m. Passengers deplaned safely on the taxiway and were bused back to the terminal, the FAA said.

There were no injuries. The Embraer E-145 aircraft had 39 passengers and a crew of three. Passengers were being rebooked on other flights to Dallas.
