There's been partisan college football pageantry in the city and suburbs Saturday evening with the University of Illinois battling Washington at Soldier Field and Northwestern hosting Western Michigan at Ryan Field in Evanston.
There's also NASCAR in the area, with the Sprint Cup Chase at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, and even the pro golfer's tour is here. with the BMW Championship playing out in Lake Forest all weekend long.
The White Sox are also in town, hosting Cleveland this weekend on the South Side.
