Chicago's divvy bike-sharing program hit a major milestone: 1 million rides.

The feat was accomplished in just two and a half months.

The city says Chicagoans and visitors have taken 365,000 bike trips since the program launched in late June.

So far, 240 bike stations have been installed across the city.

Officials say they hope to bump that number up to 400 by next spring.
