On Saturday at 12:15 p.m., a woman was jogging along the trail near 7800 South at Rainbow Beach Park when police say she was approached from behind by a man she didn't know. The victim was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted before the offender fled, police said.
The attacker is described as a black man, approximately 30 years old, 6'0"-6'5", medium build, black shoulder-length dreadlocks and medium brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a red baseball-type cap, black t-shirt and blue jeans. The offender is said to have a foul odor, the police news release said.
