City of Chicago spending $50M to reduce storm flooding risk

Good news for Chicagoans who live in flood-prone areas: the city is making a $50-million investment in water infrastructure to improve storm water management.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office says the new effort will reduce potential for flooding by creating 10 million gallons of natural storm water storage, which could reduce runoff significantly.
