Chicago is preparing to celebrate a holiday tradition, the lighting of the Christmas tree at Daley Plaza.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the event dating back to 1913 when the ceremony was held on Christmas Eve in Grant Park.

At next month's ceremony, Singer Darlene Love will perform, along with the Joffrey Ballet and the cast from Broadway in Chicago's "Elf the Musical."

The celebration will be on Tuesday, November 26 at 5 p.m.
