Chicago named among top 10 cities in Lonely Planet guide

Lonely Planet has announced its picks for where to travel to in 2014 with the release of its annual series, Best in Travel 2014, which covers the world.

The number one picks to visit for 2014 include: Brazil as the top country, Paris as the best city and the Greek Islands for the best-value destination. Chicago was ranked eighth in the world of cities to visit, and is the only U.S. city to make the top ten.
