Cadillac CTS Sedan named Motor Trends Car of the Year for 2014

The Cadillac CTS Sedan has been named the Motor Trends Car of the Year for 2014.

The announcement was made in New York City.

Motor Trend has been naming the Car of the Year the magazine was first published in 1949.

Motor Trend's first award also went to a Cadillac in 1949 for its V8 engine models.

Motor Trend's Car of the Year program is open to any all-new or substantially upgraded 2014 model, and the CTS, which ascends into the heart of the midsize luxury market with expanded performance, elevated luxury and sophisticated technology, prevailed over 22 contending models and seven finalists.
