Morton Arboretum hosts 1st winter lights event 'Illumination'

The fall leaves are gone but trees at the Morton Arboretum are glowing with color. 'Illumination' combines the beauty of nature with cutting-edge light technology.

It's the arboretum's first-ever winter lights event.

Visitors enjoy the light show as they walk along a mile long path. Tree hugging is encouraged. And in one place, doing so will change the lights for an entire grove.

You can check out the lights display through January 4.
