Gillman pleaded guilty to one count of theft for looting on Thursday, five years to the day since Republic was closed, resulting in hundreds of lost jobs and a six-day worker occupation of the facility. Nearly 50 other charges against Gillman were dropped. Judge Domenica Stephenson also fined him $100,000.
The 60-year old was taken into custody immediately.
