People living in an apartment building in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood face losing their homes before the holidays.

Tenants who live in the Astor House building on West Pratt held a vigil outside the building Saturday.

They say they've just found out that they're being evicted next week.

Some are now getting ready to move into shelters are with relatives.

"We need outside help," said James Burnett. "We all need because were all facing a massive eviction on this coming Wednesday. And even though rent has been paid, they're still being evicted."

The Astor House tenants claim 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore has done nothing to intercede on their behalf.

Saturday night, ABC7 Eyewitness News tried to contact Alderman Moore and the Astor House owners, but we were unable to reach them for a comment.
