December 9, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The fire began around 12:35 a.m. Monday on the 4900-block of West Superior in the Austin neighborhood.

Firefighters say the blaze began in the back of a two-story frame house.

One of the victims was walking home when he saw the fire and called 911.

"There was a big blaze coming out. The whole back was burned up. We won't be able to go back in," reisdnet Charles Minor said.

Crews fully extinguished the fire by 2:30 a.m., and no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation later Monday.

The Chicago Department of Human Services was called to help the 10 people displaced by the fire.
