More stolen cars reported on New Year's Day than other holidays

According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, more stolen cars are reported on New Year's Day than any other holiday.

The holidays with the fewest auto thefts are Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Illinois was one of three states with the most stolen cars on New Year's Day.
