EVE of the EVE Celebration, Recipes

December 22, 2013 (RELEASE)

Say goodbye to 2013 in style and embrace the New Year at HighSight's EVE of the EVE fundraiser

Monday, December 30th is a landmark celebration for a truly worthwhile cause. EVE of the EVE marks its 20th anniversary as Chicagoland's hippest extravaganza and the premiere holiday choice for partygoers year after year.

The EVE of the EVE takes place the night before New Year's Eve and all proceeds benefit HighSight's scholarship program. This black-tie optional event offers more than 2,000 young, hip, urban professionals the opportunity to mix and mingle, while jump-starting their New Year's celebrations.

The party takes over the entire Great Hall of Union Station, where guests enjoy an open bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres and dancing to live music from South of 80 and DJ music from Clik Entertainment. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. (7:00pm for VIP) and the party continues until 1:00 a.m.

The Eve of the Eve is thrilled to welcome Tito's Handmade Vodka as our official spirits sponsor. And, in addition to celebrating our 20th year working with Blue Plate catering, we are excited to have some of Chicago's trendiest food trucks showcase their food at the party. Jerk: Modern Jamaican Grill, The Salsa Truck, Sweet Ride Chicago and Beaver's Donuts and Coffee will be handing out delicious samples to our guests throughout the evening.

We're also excited to announce new VIP amenities. The VIP ticket includes a pre-party at 7pm with passed hour d'oeuvres and premium spirits. In addition to the pre-party, our VIP guests will enjoy a private balcony bar with continued premium spirits, a VIP hors d'oeuvres buffet and access to additional restrooms.

There is a cash raffle with prizes totaling $4,500 (first prize is $2,000) and chances may be purchased for $20. An impressive silent auction will also be featured with fun packages and unique opportunities including trips, sporting event and concert tickets and gift certificates for restaurants, spas and museums.

Tickets are available for $125 or $160 for VIP in advance and may be purchased online at www.highsight.org. Tickets prices will increase day of/at the door.
