Tim Turkowski popped the question to his girlfriend Mary Davey after having lunch with his family.
Macy's and the staff at the walnut room helped him pull it off by asking everyone to close their eyes and make a wish.
That was the moment that Turkowski pulled out the ring.
"It was easy," he said. "The hardest part was getting through lunch. Honestly, I could do that again. The hardest part was getting through lunch. I don't know. I'm shaking right now! I can't believe it!"
Turkowski said he chose the Walnut Room because it's a family tradition to dine there over the holidays.
