Brian Stroud, 53, faces two felony counts of possession of child pornography, according to a release from the Lake County Sheriff's office.
Officers executed a search warrant on Friday at his home.
Stroud was the target of an investigation by the Cybercrimes Unit.
During the search, police said Stroud was cooperative and gave officers the location of a hidden computer containing images of child pornography.
No known local children were victimized by Stroud, Lake County Sheriff's office spokeswoman Sgt. Sara Balmes said.
Stroud was ordered held on $75,000 bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 29., 2014.
