The boy was killed October 23 after getting hit by a district pickup truck that was driven by a Chicago Heights school district employee.
According to police reports, the driver never saw the victim.
Jackson Hill,7, was heading to school --walking in the street trying to avoid a water main break -- when police say Hill jumped over the flowing water and into the path of the turning pickup truck.
The driver was not charged in the accident.
