With the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday right around the corner, race and equality were the main topics discussed during a special meeting with the Chicago Teachers Union.

The CTU, along with community leaders, gathered in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood for a breakfast forum.

They talked about Dr. King's message and how the community together has one voice.

The civil rights leader would have turned 85 on Wednesday.
