PHOTOS: Fire destroys Art's Bike Shop
The shop is located in the 6200-block of West Cermak Road in west suburban Berwyn. No injuries were reported in a fire at a two-story building in Berwyn that closed Cermak Road between Austin and Ridgeland Avenue on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out in an apartment above Art's Bike Shop, a family-run bike shop and toy store. Heavy flames ripped through the building, and dozens of Berwyn Fire Department firefighters responded. The building was destroyed.
Power was cut to help fire crews. The fire was struck hours later.
CTA Bus No. 21 was re-routed for the commute.
