Michigan pastor revived after heart stops; Congregation says miracle saved Pastor Jerry Allen Jackson in church

January 24, 2014 (YPSLANTI, Mich.)

On Sunday, Pastor Jerry Allen Jackson was giving his sermon when he suddenly slumped over.

Five registered nurses in the church went to work on the pastor. He had no pulse and no heartbeat.

The entire congregation began praying for him while CPR was performed.

The news was sent out to other churches and they began praying.

Within minutes congregants say they witnessed a miracle.

The pastor sat up and asked for his microphone.

"Everybody's trying to rationalize and figure it out, I know, because the message was God will give you more time," Pastor Jackson said. "So he just used me as an illustration as I will give you more time."

Pastor Jackson is going to take this Sunday off, but he will be back at the pulpit next weekend.
