Staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital continue testing Chicago's Former Mayor Richard Daley, who was hospitalized Friday and those close to him will offer little insight into his illness.
Daley was mayor for 22 years and most recently has been working for a law firm. He was in Arizona on business when he reportedly became ill.
Over the years Daley been hospitalized previously but was generally known to be in good health.
He had stepped out of the spotlight since returning to private life with a few exceptions. We saw him accompany Mayor Emanuel last November to Mexico and he has attended events honoring his late wife Maggie.
