Police responded to a report of a car smashed into a house near Cossit and Bluff Avenues in west suburban La Grange Friday.

When they got there about 7 a.m., they found a dark-colored sedan, but no one was inside it. No one was home, either.

La Grange police say they are going to leave the car there for now until insurance adjusters can assess the damage to the house.

It was not immediately known when the car crashed but police are investigating.
