"I had graduated high school in May and we were up to the lakes with his brother and wife on the 4th (of July) and that's when he proposed, but it was depression, and drought, and we lived through it," said Clara.

Clara and Delbert were married during the Great Depression, on September 5, 1933. She will be the first to tell you, it wasn't always easy.

"We got married and we said we were going to stay married, and if it was a bad day we (click) went along until a day that was good, I never was tempted, and I am sure he wasn't-- we didn't have time," said Clara.

Clara and Delbert stayed very busy running a farm and raising their four daughters.

"I couldn't have asked for better parents, I was blessed," said Kathy Priborsky, Clara and Delbert's daughter.

They have four daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. After all these years, they still say "I love you."

"He tells me I don't know how many times a day that he still does, so he don't want me to go away yet," said Clara.

Clara's 98th birthday is this April, and she and Delbert say they are looking forward to the whole family gathering to celebrate.
