Some pet owners brought their cats and dogs to a clinic in the Little Village neighborhood for free spaying and neutering.

The Humane Society of the United States' Pets for Life Chicago partnered with PAWS to offer the free services Tuesday in honor of World Spay Day.

Eighty-seven animals were cared for, and many also received free vaccines.

Organizers say the free services are designed to reach pet owners in underserved Chicago neighborhoods.
