Chicago glows green ahead of St. Patrick's Day

March 10, 2014 (CHICAGO)

More Chicago areas, buildings and landmarks will be green leading up to St. Patrick's Day next Monday.

Dancers also kicked up their heels at Block 37 in downtown Chicago for the start of the "Global Greening" campaign, designed to promote tourism to Ireland.

As part of the initiative, Chicago landmarks including the Trump Tower and the United Center will turn on green lights in a show of support. They'll be joined by iconic sites around the world, such as the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
