Grab a pint or legendary pizza in Beverly

March 15, 2014 (CHICAGO)

"Pizza is - there's a special love and care taught to us by our parents to put into it. We make everything on site. From the dough, sauce, meat, all of the ingredients done on site," said Fox's owner Tom Fox.

The pieces are blanketed in mozzarella and cut into squares with the aid of a "pizzamatic." There's also a large assortment of sandwiches, like a hearty Reuben that's mounded with Swiss, sauerkraut and corned beef. Fox says this is the third year the parade has been back since the neighborhood took a hard look at the alcohol consumption, and he says the area has embraced the positive change.

"The weekend of South Side parade is great, fun atmosphere," said Fox. "Now it's back, a little different level, a little more family oriented from the way it started, which I think is good for the overall health of the parade."

Like a lot of businesses up and down Western Avenue, Fox's will have live entertainment all weekend long, but you can be tomorrow is going to be very busy, so you might want to get the pizza to go.
