A Brighton Park resident says he captured thieves in on surveillance video in the act.
Jesse Alvarado says the video shows two men pulling up to his Toyota parked in front of his home in the 3400-block of Pershing.
He says the thieves took the catalytic converter around 3 a.m. on March 17. The offenders then stole another one off a neighbor's Jeep.
At least a dozen catalytic converter thefts have been reported since the end of January in four South Side neighborhoods: Washington Heights, Roseland, Auburn Gresham and Morgan Park.
