Diet soda associated with women's heart risks

Women who drink two or more diet sodas a day may be putting themselves at greater risk for heart problems.

A study being presented to the American College of Cardiology looked at more than 59,000 healthy, postmenopausal women.

They were 30 percent more likely to suffer from a cardiovascular event such as a heart attack or stroke, compared to women who never or rarely drink diet sodas.

Researchers only found an association, so they can't say if the drinks caused these problems.
