Rapper Common announces new jobs initiative for Chicago youth

April 9, 2014 (CHICAGO)

Common will partner with the Chicago Urban League and other organizations to raise funds to create 1,000 year-round jobs for the city's youth.

"I've come back home and shot videos in the hood and around my neighborhood where I don't live anymore. And I felt that I have to do more," said Common.

The Common Foundation also announced a music festival, called "Aahh fest," coming in September, which will be held behind the Museum of Science and Industry.
