Police say a woman was walking when a man exited a van and grabbed her Thursday morning on West Ainslie near Pulaski.
He started pulling the woman toward the van, but she was able to get away.
Police say the suspect, a white man between 45 and 55 years old, was driving an older white van with no windows and had a ladder attached to the roof with yellow rope.
