Easter lilies poisonous to cats

Easter lilies symbolize the upcoming holiday and spring for many people, but they should be kept out of reach of cats.

The Food and Drug Administration says the entire plant, including leaves and pollen, is poisonous.

Cats can suffer acute kidney failure within a short period of time.

Other types of lilies can also be harmful.

If you suspect your cat has eaten any type of lily, you should call a vet immediately.
