The man just charged with a murder that happened 17 years ago, will remain in jail.

A Wisconsin judge ruled Wednesday that James Eaton will be held for trial in the murder of 14-year-old Amber Creek.

The Palatine girl's body was found in Burlington, Wisconsin in 1997.

In court Wednesday prosecutors said there is fingerprint evidence and DNA that links Eaton to the murder.

Improvements in DNA technology played a big role in Eaton's arrest.
