Two children who were believed to have been abducted by their mother have been found unharmed in eastern Wisconsin, according to Chicago police.

Daniel Duignan, 11; Owen Duignan, 9; and their mother, Detective Jamie Duignan, were reported missing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jamie Duignan told her husband, who is a Chicago police sergeant, that she was taking the kids to the park near their Beverly home, but never returned, police said.

The details of where the children and mother were found have not been released. According to a statement from the Chicago Police Department, "They are being detained by local law enforcement. Family and investigators are en route to their location to continue the investigation and reunite the children with their father. It is unknown at this time if charges will be sought. There is no further information at this time."
