Southwest Airlines will now allow customers on many flights to skip the printing process and show their boarding passes on their mobile devices.

At this time, mobile boarding passes are only available to passengers traveling on Southwest Airlines-operated flights originating in Austin (AUS), Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Chicago Midway (MDW), Dallas Love Field (DAL), Denver (DEN), Houston Hobby (HOU), Orlando (MCO), and Phoenix (PHX). They are not currently available to passengers traveling on AirTran-operated flights and/or international flights.

Southwest said it plans to expand the program through 2014.

Travelers can request to recieve your boarding pass through email or sent via text message while checking in for your flight.
