WCL: Adrinkwith.com ? Hillary Sawchuk & Elixir Andersonville

Hillary Sawchuk is a journalist in Chicago and she had a simple idea ? try to capture the true person behind the celebrity by having a drink with them. From that, adrinkwith.com was born.

She started by writing articles with pictures then began shooting them ? so it turned into a web series.

She interviews not only celebrities, but movers and shakers in different industries. She visits WCL to talk about her website and then we hand the reigns to her, and she interviews Val, Ryan and Ji over a signature cocktail created by the mixologist from the new hot spot - Elixir Andersonville, Vlad Novikov ? it's called the "High Five" in honor of our fifth season!

"High Five"

Ingredients: RTC Georgia Peach Nectar Rooibos infused Vodka, Letherbee Besk, honey syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, freeze dried satsuma mandarin, strawberry flavor pearls

Recipe: 2 oz. RTC Georgia Peach Nectar Rooibos infused Vodka 0.25 oz. Letherbee Besk 0.5 oz. lemon juice 0.75 oz. 2:1 Honey Syrup Shake all ingredients, strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a fancy lemon wheel, freeze dried mandarin, strawberry flavor pearls (or seasonal fruit)

Description: This cocktail was created to celebrate Windy City Live's fifth season. It is Worldly: The vodka is infused with Rare Tea Cellar's Georgia Peach Nectar Rooibos, which combines South African organic Rooibos cured with peach pieces. It is Adventurous: Letherbee Besk is a powerful and intense Swedish wormwood liqueur, made in Chicago. And it is Visually Exciting: Garnished with a freeze dried Satsuma Mandarin, and flavor pearls, which compliment the cocktail, and excite the palate with striking texture contrast.

"Flower Power"

Ingredients: 2.0 oz. Nolet's Gin 0.5 oz. rose-lavender-violet syrup 0.5 oz. lemon juice 2-3 dashes House Nasturtium bitters Shaken, Strained into a Georgian Glass, Served Up with 1 cube Garnished with a Candied Hibiscus Flower

"Japanese Cold Drip Mai Tai"

Ingredients: El Dorado 5 Year Rum, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, Small Hands Orgeat, and fresh lime juice dripped through RTC Mallorca Melon Tea, clove, black lime, ginger, anise, and allspice.
