CHICAGO (WLS) -- Amazon is restricting the way users can share their Amazon Prime benefits with others.

A new policy says Prime customers can only add one other adult to an account. Previously, Prime members could split the $99 fee and all Prime benefits with up to four other adults.

The one person sharing the benefits will also now have access to the main member's credit or debit card account.

The feature is being called "Amazon Households," and will also allow Prime members to add up to four children to their account.
