CHICAGO (WLS) -- Comcast customers have a new way to rate the cable company's customer service.

A new app lets customers track and then rate Comcast technicians. It sends an alert to customers 30 minutes before a cable technician arrives at their home.

Comcast hopes to repair its customer service image following recent reports.

The app is being tested outside of Boston and is expected to be available to all Comcast customers next year.
