Hundreds of workers walked off the job Saturday at a northwest Indiana factory that now could affect the Ford assembly plant in Chicago.

HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- Hundreds of workers walked off the job Saturday at a northwest Indiana factory that now could affect the Ford assembly plant in Chicago.

All 760 workers at Lear Corporation in Hammond began a strike Saturday demanding higher wages.

The plant makes automotive seats for the Ford Explorer and Taurus models which are produced at Ford's Chicago assembly plant.
