HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- The city of Harvey ordered Club Assets, a business located on South Halsted Avenue, to close. A spokesman for Harvey Mayor Eric Kellogg said in a release the Harvey Department of Planning determined the business "displayed the appearance of an illegal strip club operation," based on the findings of a two-week investigation.

The planning department originally had a hearing scheduled for Friday to discuss the results with club owners. The release said that hearing has been rescheduled.

Mayor Kellog also revoked the club's liquor license.

The city said club owners presented a plan for a sports bar and grill at the location in October 2013. But based on findings in the investigation, the release said "the owners compromised the integrity of their liquor license."
