CHICAGO (WLS) -- Attorney General Lisa Madigan released Illinois' annual safe shopping guide, detailing recalled children's products and offering safety tips for holiday shopping.

The 2014 Safe Shopping Guide includes detailed descriptions and photographs of over 100 children's products which have been recalled in the last year, from dangerous strollers and cribs to toys with high levels of lead.

The guide also features guidance and tips to protect against identity theft during the holidays. Madigan's steps to protect financial information include setting up transaction alerts, regularly reviewing bank and credit card statements, reviewing credit reports for unauthorized accounts and considering a security freeze on your credit.

The 2014 Safe Shopping Guide can be accessed in full here. For further information on or assistance with identity theft, Illinois residents can contact the Attorney General Office's identity theft hotline at 1-866-999-5630.
