Watchdog group to review Wisconsin Energy acquisition of Integrys

An Illinois watchdog group says it will take a close look at a Wisconsin company's plans to buy the parent company of Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas.

Officials at the Citizens Utility Board say they want to make sure this is a fair plan for utility customers and they'll make suggestions if they see a need.

Wisconsin Energy Corp. is proposing to acquire Integrys Energy Group for $9 billion.
