Six Flags Great America is hiring for 2016 season

GURNEE, Ill. (WLS) -- Six Flags Great America is hiring.

The amusement park, which is getting ready to open for the season, is planning several jobs fairs this month in north suburban Gurnee.

Six flags is hiring about 3,000 people for the 2016 season.

Open positions are available for cashiers, lifeguards, ride operators and food service employees.

Jobs range from entry-level to management-level positions, and include paid internships. All seasonal positions start at a minimum of $9 per hour.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Job fairs are scheduled for April 2, 13, 27.
