Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage month kicks off

CHICAGO -- The governor's office celebrated the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month Thursday at the Thompson Center.
The celebrations were kicked off by Sori-beat, a Korean folk music performance group.
ABC7's Judy Hsu emceed the event and helped present this year's awards to six community groups for their outstanding contributions.
