CHICAGO (WLS) -- Adventure Safari Network Foundation is looking for local students for a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

The non-profit group is offering its first-ever 10-day Yellowstone Adventure to high school students. Only 45 students who have completed 8-12 grades will get to experience America's first National Park. The trip will take place between June 20-30, 2016, and will also include stops to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Grand Teton National Park.

While on the trip, students will be able to print their photos daily and add them to their own personalized journal. Each student will also participate in a service day while in Yellowstone. Students can apply online for the program, which involves an essay, three letters of recommendation and an interview.

The Adventure Safari Network Foundation was established to provide nature experiences to young people while providing leadership, photographic, and educational opportunities. The goal is to help students connect with the outdoors and learn about conservation.

President of Adventure Safari Network Foundation Gary Gullett, joined ABC7 Eyewitness News to talk more about their upcoming trip to Yellowstone National Park.
