The state funding crisis at Chicago State University.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The crisis at Chicago State University, which cancelled spring break and moved up its graduation date to cope with the state funding crisis. CSU is an important but deeply dysfunctional South Side institution that's affected more than most by the budget stalemate in Springfield.

This is not a BGA story per se, but we're following it closely, and our Director of Programs, Bob Reed, is available to discuss this and the overall problems our public colleges and universities and their scholarship-dependent students are facing without state dollars for student grants or campus operations.
