CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago State University is laying off more than 300 employees, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

The school has been struggling with budget issues for months. Just last week, state lawmakers approved $20 million in emergency funding, but school officials said was not enough.

The Tribune reports the cuts don't include faculty, but they could be impacted in any future layoffs.
