CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public Schools is expanding its Safe Haven program as students head into spring break.

The program is aimed at giving students something positive to do while they're out of class.

This year, the district is expanding the safe haven program to 120 locations that will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. next Monday through Friday.

The CPS spring break officially begins Monday, but students are out of class Friday for Good Friday.
