Cristo Rey Saint Martin College Prep ribbon cutting

Waukegan, IL (WLS) -- A suburban catholic high school is giving an old K-Mart a new purpose. Cristo Rey Saint Martin College Prep cut the ribbon on their new campus in Waukegan Tuesday morning.

The school which opened in 2004 had outgrown its old home at the former Saint Joseph parish complex.

The school currently takes up about half the space of the building.

Future plans call for fine arts facilities and a gym.
