Getting parents prepared for back to school
The summer break is winding down and students across the country are getting ready to head back to school.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The summer break is winding down and students across the country are getting ready to head back to school. But parents should also start making plans if they want to make a smooth transition for their little ones.

Mornings are always hectic, but with a few simple steps you could be ready to hit the road for school in 15 minutes or less! Bump Club and Beyond has a few tips from its network of over 200,000 parents. BCB Founder, Lindsay Pinchuk, shared some helpful ideas to keep everyone happy and smiling (including the parents!).

Tip #1: Get organized. Before the school year starts, invest in a great planner; giving you one place to quickly schedule all your family events.

Tip #2: Be a night owl. If you pack lunches and pick out clothes the night before, you'll have less to do in the morning and less headaches from making split decisions.

Tip #3: Give yourself time in the morning. Don't let the morning rush get to you. Give yourself a few minutes before the kids get up to feel refreshed and start your day.

Tip #4: Invest in safe and helpful gear. Whether it's a lunch box or backpack, making sure your kids have all the tools they need to succeed will go a long way to reducing stress for you and your little ones.
