Parents confront Glenbard school officials over punishment for student athletes

GLEN ELLYN, Ill. (WLS) -- Parents confronted school officials in west suburban Glen Ellyn over punishment given to some teenagers who attended a summer party.

The students are in the Glenbard Township school district. They were allegedly at a party where former students brought alcohol.

Police were called in and they notified the schools of who was involved. Some student athletes who were on the police list were suspended from sports for an entire season.

School officials say the students who received suspensions violated district codes.
